THINGS TO DO IN MONTAGU

Montagu, placed half way between Cape Town and Oudtschoorn on Route62,
at head of the Klein Karoo. Makes an ideal base for excursions to the nearby
Breede River Valley,one of the most famous wine producing regions
in South Africa or pehaps a trip up the Ouberg Pass into the Karoo proper.
There is the world famous Tractor Ride to a viewing point at the top
of the Langeberg mountains. There is a good 9 hole Golf course in Montagu
and another 9 hole course in Bonnievale. You don't realy have to go anywhere, Montagu has a warm water spa, wineries, two splendid museums,
internet facilities and a number of good restaurants. For the adventurous
there are spectacular mountain biking trails,
some of the best rock climbing in the world and awsome hiking trials.
